Wishcasting Wednesday: What door do you wish to open?
On this wednesday the folks over at Jamie Ridler Studios are asking, What door do you wish to open?
I have a little trouble with this one because I have so many doors open that I feel scattered trying to do it all. One thing that I have been noticing lately is my words. In my morning pages writings I try to mull things over to make sense of life and so forth and have found some of my words are wish-washy for lack of a better term. I tend to use words like perhaps, maybe, I guess etc. They are not decisive at all. I have been trying to change that but haven't made it yet. So what does this have to do with doors opening and such.
I want to go through the door that makes me more decisive, more clear on the things I want to do and the fortitude to follow through with them.

fabulous wish. I wish for a door that would lead to a chosen path as well. too many things are just floating right now!
ReplyDeleteI can relate to the wishy-washy words. I've been trying myself to remove them when I write lately.
ReplyDeleteAs you wish for yourself, so I truly wish for you also.
When one really important door opens, maybe another one not so important needs to close?? :)
ReplyDeleteAs you wish for yourself, I wish for you also!
a strong wish...a hefty door to open. As you wish for yourself, so i join you (in helping to push open the door) and in wishing for you what you wish for yourself. Decisiveness definitely!
ReplyDeleteHere's to your door opening wide! As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you!!
ReplyDeletelovely picture choice. The older I become the more doors I seem to want to open to discover to learn to grow!!! Trying to take it all in before the final curtain falls.
ReplyDeleteAs you wish for yourself, I wish for you too. Decisive. Glorious wish! Jacs x

There is something about the image of a door - the symbolism of opening a door and stepping through it - to something new, unexpected, to a new realization or a new beginning. I think it is a very powerful image - one that can open new possibilities in our lives, new ways of understanding things. It is always a challenge to choose which door to open, and when you approach the door you finally choose it's often difficult to be bold in going through it - mmm maybe i also need to find that decisive door.

ReplyDeleteThis image is so beautiful, Kate ! I love it.
ReplyDeleteHere's to finding the right door for you. As Kate wishes for herself, I wish for her also.
find that door and go right through it - it'll be easier from then on. as you wish for yourself, i wish for you too.
ReplyDeleteAh Kate. So many doors, so little time! Such choices. I think you will find the right door, if you haven't already.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago I noticed all the times I used "but", so I started underlining them. It took me a while to change my language but (yes, pun intended :D ) I did.
ReplyDeleteAs Kate wishes for herself, I wish for her also.
What a wonderful wish! Opening the door to being decisive - may it be granted!
ReplyDeleteAs you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well!
As you wish for yourself, I wish for you also. xx
ReplyDeleteOoh, I really like this! (Also, love that image you used). As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you as well.
ReplyDeleteI think the whole thing about a door is finding out what is behind it. A knock at the door...who is there????Happy Summer, Mary
