I am back from eight days at Yellowstone N.P. It was a fantastic trip which I will post about later this week. I have been home a few days just doing laundry and trying to catch up with things. Coming back from a wonderful trip is always hard. I always find it difficult to get back to my old life.
For now I think I will just show some art. I managed to do a little art there and some more when I came home. I took 2 journals with me and worked in both of them. First the manila folder journal.
Here are some pages in my other journal; the one that is made from an old book. I am really liking working in this book. I have been gluing 3 pages together, adding gesso and then paint. All the pages have a real nice feel about them. This book is turning out to be a lot of fun to work in.
Lovely pages. I'm really drawn to the second one (Coming Home.)
ReplyDeleteWelcome back.
Hugs,
Sophie
You have been a busy bee! I LOVE your altered book too! I also like your "Year of the Tiger" page. I recognize that bit of ephemera. We sure seem to think alike. Glad you had a wonderful time in Yellowstone. Can't wait to hear more.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. :) I still haven't put myself together after our vacation. But you did some amazing journal pages. Great work!
ReplyDeleteI agree - these are really splendid. I love the variety, the colors, and the textures in them. nancy
ReplyDeleteYour journals are filling with some lovely and juicy things, Miss Kate ! Love to see you using pics of yourself in there too.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine the beauties you saw in Yellowstone (a dream trip for me one day !). I hope they keep you filled up for many days to come.

Your pages are great! I love the one with the Buddha, and the one with your picture. That trip to Yellowstone must have been very inspiring but I'm glad you're back. I missed you.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home. I too am just home from an exciting trip as you know. I totally vegged yesterday, just reclined and read with my cat on my lap nuzzling my breast. It was extreme bonding welcome home! Love your journal pages. I will I will I will continue to do mine.

Yes, welcome home, Kate! I'm glad that you had a good time and will look forward to hearing about it. It certainly is hard coming back from a good trip, and so much work to catch up on that you feel as though it will never happen! Peace and love, O
