Sunday Sketches

Todays sketch for Sunday sketches is a painting and not a sketch.  Since I am taking a class and needed to get the assignments done I figure this can do double duty. The face was transferred to watercolor paper, collaged and then painted . I am not sure I like it, Tell me do you think the eyes look funny? Or is it just me being over critical.

To see other Sunday sketchers head on over to Sophia's blog.

  9. One eye looks slightly bigger than the other but a lot of people really do have one bigger than the other. Maybe that is what is bothering you? I probably wouldn't have noticed it at all if you hadn't directed my attention to the eyes and it doesn't bother me. I like the painting and wouldn't change it. She looks very pensive.

  10. I like it, Kate. And it seems to me that art isn't about being "perfect" but expressing who you are within it. :) Great job.

  11. I like the eyes - we all have variation in our features, it is just our ego thinking we are perfect and symmetric :-) She is wonderful and serious, thinking about something, I see that in her eyes!
