Some Journal Pages

This is a page I painted on a map for my Boadacious Backgrounds class.  I added this picture of myself in a far away land. I am trying to connect with Jamie Frasier (if you have read Outlander you'll know what I mean). By the way it did not work. I am in  a place called Avebury in England and the stones there are quite amazing.

In this one the background was done with gelatos and the bird just wanted to be there.  I like how festive he looks.

The paper, measuring tape  and ticket came from a paper pack called  Tattered Time.  It has some great steampunk papers and other old world looking embellishments. I thought a black and white photo would look great. This is a pic of my Aunt Margaret, wasn't she just beautiful.

This is one of pages where I just slapped on some paint and stamping and so forth.  I like to think that the door is leading to some exotic place.

  1. Wow!
These pages are fantastic, great artwork :]
    Really love all the layering.

  2. OMG - the Jamie Frasier comment had me dribbling my coffee ... YES! (And boy, you really are caressing that stone!) I love Avebury ... such a magical place ...

Great spreads ... I love your palette and the decorative details ... and here's how whacked I am ... I thought you wrote "Ann" Margaret, not aunt and so I was thinking "DId Ann Margaret have a 25 inch waist?)

    Keep the pages coming!

  3. the colors the textures...these are all fabulous!

  4. Margaret and the door captured me, my friend!
Not to mention Jamie Frasier fantasies...

    Happy Wednesday !

  5. Kate, these new journal pages are great! The parrot is beautiful with all those vibrant colors but your aunt is even more beautiful in black and white.

  6. Great pages such personality is reflected in them
