Wishcasting Wednesday What limits do you wish to set?

Today for Wishcasting Wednesday Jamie Ridler asks us "What limits do you wish to set". What a great question and it is so true that you can not do it all.

This reminded me of a conversation I had yesterday. I was talking with my friend Jeff and he asked if I was working on a story.  I told him not right now. I went on to say that I was working on filming an online class and I really needed to put all my focus on it.  As a result I have to let other things slide.  So often I have so many things going on at the same that very little gets accomplished.  I have had to step back from doing what I normally do.

I set a goal for the project and I am going to fulfill it.  I decided on Sunday that I would finish filming all the videos that I needed by the end of the week.  I have a good start on accomplishing that goal because I did limit myself.  I have done less art and the books I am reading I put on hold.  I  really think that setting limits is essential to complete a big project in a timely manner.  To date I have 9 video's recorded and have about 6 more to do. I know I can do it.

Do you set limits for yourself when you need to?

  3. Great limits Kate! We cannot go through life without limits - IT WOULD BE CHAOS! LOL. If we want to accomplish anything, we need limits.
For me I have to limit myself to the amount of time I work on a piece, for example... because I am just recovering from surgery and still have fibromyalgia I have to limit myself to about 15-30 minutes a day.. over all this makes me much more accomplished as I don't hurt myself. Thanks for sharing your limits
    Hugs and blessings

  10. I do set limits, but the mistake I make is putting the important things in to the exclusion of creative things. I have enough so-called "important" things to do that I would never create, read, play, or have self-care. I need to work to move the opposite way, more towards play. Good for you, My Queen, for setting positive limits, xoO

  11. As Kate wishes for herself, I wish for her as well.
Bravo for the focus on important goals for yourself. This is one I struggle with often. I also sometimes struggle with putting my own goals before the goals that I feel other people want me to accomplish. This is getting better though !
My limits need to be put on food intake and on computer time !!!
    Enjoy the filming process !
    Hugs !
