Happy Mothers Day

I hope that you are all having a Happy Mothers Day. Its a rainy gloomy day here today.

Here's my sketch from this morning. I have been nursing a bad stomach for two days now, so this will be short. I think she is a little melancholy. I think next time I'll play a little with making the words a little different. I like the way they curve on the right shoulder. I could see making a pattern of the way I write might make the design interesting.

Go on over to Sophia's blog to see what other sketchers have done.

  2. She does look a little sad, must be the gray weather. It is really gray here in Oregon also. I like the words on her dress very interesting.

  3. She is a little melancholy but it's probably due to your bad tummy. I like her though. I think she looks very contemplative, like she's seriously thinking. Hope you feel better

It was gray and drizzly here, today too. Despite the weather and not feeling well, wishing you a happy Mother's Day, Kate. Hope you feel better soon.

  6. Sorry to hear about your stomach. Your drawing kinda looks sad about it too. Creating pattern with words would be wonderful to see.

  11. I love these drawings you do with the writing on the clothes or as the background. I keep thinking I'll try it but then never do.

I've been having tummy problems, too.
