This one I filled in with papers and then did a double grid of sorts by adding small images in each spot. This is definitely a fun way to play in your journal and the results are prety pleasing, Hard to go wrong here.

On my second page, I drew a grid on a painted page then outlined it in white pen and really liked it as is.
Then I turned it around, I like the brick wall look of it even better. I had a hard time covering it up but once I started playing with paper it was too much fun.
I added paper to all those spots and then a few things on top. I see the value of doing this early now. I want to try a few more but since the deadline is today I ran out of time.

I ran out of time on this one, too. I played with it yesterday but didn't get anything I liked. I really like the last photo here. The little extra items adds just the right touch. And I like the one circle in the top photo.
ReplyDeleteFun!!! Love the blues!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteKate - very nice!! Love the dark color under the first one - really makes it obvious your have layers happening. And I adore the second one - love how you showed the beginnings, then ended up covering it all up. I like the staggered blocks, the lovely colors, and all the texture. Don't let the deadline keep you from making more :) Thanks for sharing your work.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! I especially like the 'brick wall' piece and the yummy blue-greens.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I'm still working on adding to the grids I did originally, to heck with the deadline! LOL Grids are fun, eh?
ReplyDeleteI like them both. I love the idea of the double grid. Fun!

Great blues! The bird really sets them off.
ReplyDeleteGreat shades of blue... I like the offset grid / brickwork pattern. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love the blues and the shapes of your grid.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pages, love all the blues !
ReplyDeleteI love the brick wall effect, and how turning it 90 degrees changes it so completely. Both pages turned out great. Isn't running out of time such a pain...
